African Parks is a non-profit conservation organisation that takes on the complete responsibility for the rehabilitation and long-term management of national parks and protected areas in partnership with governments and local communities.

With the largest counter-poaching force in Africa, over 600 rangers are on staff, and the most amount of area under protection for any one NGO in Africa, African Parks manages 10 national parks and protected areas in seven countries covering six million hectares – all in parts of Africa that Mammoth Safaris visits: Malawi, Zambia, Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Chad.

Mammoth Safaris is clear that the strategic partnership with organisations that actively conserve tracks of wilderness makes good business sense.  We are only able to do what we do with the likes of African Parks doing the most amazing work they they do to protect the wilderness we travel to.

Mammoth Safaris recognises the crucial and sterling work being done by African Parks.  As we explore some of the more remote parts of Africa with our guests we are looking to book more time in the African Parks camps where we can. This generates revenue for the African Parks initiative and also exposes international travellers to the exceptional work being done.
