Widely known as the Pearl of Africa, Uganda is a phenomenal country to travel in. It not only has good savanna parks to see ‘traditional game species and birds’, but also the iconic Bwindi and Budongo forests where you can encounter the great apes. Anyone that has spent time in the wild with Mountain Gorillas or Chimpanzees will tell you that it can be a life-changing experience!
If you are keen to see the great apes, your itinerary will be structured around this. Rift Valley lakes and the great Nile River are other big attractions here. Birding is big in Uganda whether you are looking for the birds or not, so bring some binoculars. There is a good assortment of lodges and travel is relatively easy between sites, especially by scheduled charter.

The planning and execution of our family safari was excellent. The many changes and the small details to satisfy each member of the family were handled very well. And of course the gorillas, chimps and birds were amazing!
