Zimbabwe has always hosted some of the finest safaris in Africa. Despite enduring many dark years in the recent past, this land-locked gem is squarely back on the safari map. A resurgent Zimbabwe offers a host of superb parks, classy adventures, great lodges, guides and wildlife. Visits to the iconic parks of Hwange, Gonarezhou and Mana Pools will rank for many travellers as their finest ever. Add the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls to the itinerary and you have the makings of a life changing and superb vacation.
Zimbabwe is a superb choice for a safari in and of itself, but is also well situated to connect easily to other Southern African destinations for those wanting to create a longer, more diverse journey. That said, Zimbabwe is very much a world within one country and should you be pressed for time, this remains a good single destination option. Trips here do also combine particularly well with neighbouring Botswana, Zambia and South Africa, with the “Wonder of the World” Victoria Falls being the anchor for a world class safari experience.

Our family had a fabulous South African experience with Mammoth Safaris; from the booking and planning to the travelling and holiday itself. Alastair always had a quick response and was readily available with advice or alternatives as our plans and wishes changed.
